Originally drafted by San Jose in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and acquired by Detroit in May 2016, Sadowy has logged 51 career games with the Griffins since 2016-17, posting six points (4-2—6) and 27 PIM. He skated in 13 games with Grand Rapids in 2017-18 and made his Calder Cup Playoff debut in Game 5 of the Central Division Semifinals.
