GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday assigned forward Dylan Sadowy to the Grand Rapids Griffins and released defenseman Conor Allen from his professional tryout, returning him to Grand Rapids. The Griffins have also released defenseman Scott Czarnowczan from his training camp tryout.

Allen and Sadowy join 21 other players on the Griffins’ training camp roster. Grand Rapids will conclude camp with its lone preseason contest on Friday when the Griffins take on the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EDT at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

The Griffins will open the 2016-17 campaign at home against Chicago on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Chicago and battling the Wolves on Oct. 15.
