GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Sunday assigned forwards Mitch Callahan and Eric Tangradi, defensemen Nick Jensen and Brian Lashoff and goaltender Jared Coreau to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The Griffins will open the 2016-17 campaign at home against Chicago this Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Chicago and battling the Wolves on Oct. 15.
