POTENTIAL GAME 7 OF GRIFFINS-MONSTERS SERIES MOVED TO COLUMBUS

May 14, 2016

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The American Hockey League on Saturday announced that the potential Game 7 of the Central Division Finals between the Grand Rapids Griffins and Lake Erie Monsters, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, has been moved to Wednesday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, the home of Lake Erie’s NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The change in date and venue was necessitated by a busy event calendar at Quicken Loans Arena that includes Game 1 of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals on May 17 and a Carrie Underwood concert on May 18.

The Griffins trail the Monsters 2-3 in the series following their dramatic 5-4 victory in Game 4 at Van Andel Arena on Tuesday and tonight's 6-1 win in Game 5 at Quicken Loans Arena. Grand Rapids, which is trying to become the fourth team in AHL history to win a best-of-seven series after trailing 0-3, will host Game 6 at Van Andel Arena on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at all Star Tickets locations, including The Zone, online through griffinshockey.com, by phone through Star Tickets at (800) 585-3737 (800) 585-3737, or via the Griffins app for iPhone or Android.
