Nosek, 24, has not played in the NHL this season. In his career, he has appeared in six games with the Wings and recorded two PIM while becoming the 152nd Griffins alumnus to play in the NHL when he debuted with Detroit last Dec. 26 at Nashville.

Nosek has skated in 11 games with the Griffins this season, tallying 10 points (2-8—10) and four PIM. He is currently riding a four-game point streak (2-5—7) and three-game assist streak.

In his third season as a Griffin, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound winger has played in 136 games in Grand Rapids since 2014 and accounted for 74 points (28-46—74), a plus-43 rating and 68 PIM. Nosek’s plus-43 career rating currently ties for 10th in franchise history. Appearing in 21 Calder Cup Playoff contests, Nosek has added eight points (3-5—8) and 10 PIM.

Prior to coming to North America, Nosek played three seasons with his hometown club – HC Pardubice of the Czech ExtraLiga. From 2011-14, he appeared in 129 games, posting 62 points (24-38—62) and 58 PIM and helped Pardubice win the 2011-12 league championship.
