2025-26 Player in Review: Jacob Truscott

Defenseman Jacob Truscott skated in his rookie season and totaled three points (0-3—3), four penalty minutes and an even plus-minus rating in 12 AHL games with the Griffins. The 24-year-old made his professional/AHL debut on Oct. 18 against the Manitoba Moose and earned his first pro point with an assist on Oct. 28 at the Iowa Wild. 

Truscott spent the majority of the campaign in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye, compiling 23 points (4-19—23), 12 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating in 51 regular-season games. The Port Huron, Michigan, native also added three points (1-2—3), 10 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff outings. He made his ECHL debut on Nov. 7 at the Kalamazoo Wings and scored his first pro goal on Dec. 13 at the Iowa Heartlanders. Truscott ranked among Toledo’s regular-season defensemen leaders in points (3rd), assists (3rd), goals (T5th) and plus-minus rating (T1st).
