2025-26 Player in Review: Carter Gylander

Goaltender Carter Gylander competed in his second season with the Griffins, while spending much of the year in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye. The 25-year-old went 7-0-1 with Grand Rapids to go along with one shutout, a 1.62 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage in eight games. Gylander posted his first-career AHL shutout on Dec. 21 at the Cleveland Monsters behind 22 saves. He also enjoyed an AHL career-best seven-game win streak from Nov. 12-March 26, showing a 1.42 GAA and a .950 save percentage. 

In the ECHL with the Walleye, Gylander produced a 20-9-5 record during the regular season to go along with two shutouts, a 2.78 GAA and a .901 save percentage in 34 outings. He then went 6-4 during the Kelly Cup Playoffs with a 2.80 GAA and an .899 save percentage.
