GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday assigned forwards Matt Ellis and Matt Hussey to the Grand Rapids Griffins. In addition, the Griffins assigned center Evan McGrath to the ECHL's Toledo Storm, signed Muskegon Fury netminder Clayton Pool to a professional tryout, and released goalie Ryan Cyr back to Muskegon.
