VISSER JOINS STAFF OF U.S. NATIONAL U18 TEAM
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday announced the departure of assistant equipment manager Jake Visser, who is joining the training staff of the U.S. National Under-18 Team based in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Visser, a native of Cutlerville, Mich., and graduate of Grand Rapids Community College, has been a member of the Griffins’ locker room staff for the past 10 seasons and is coming off his third campaign as assistant equipment manager. He served as a locker room attendant during his first seven years with the club.
“Jake has been a great help over the years, both as a stick boy and assistant equipment manager,” said Griffins equipment manager Brad Thompson. “Seeing him grow into a man and further his career has been very gratifying for me, and I wish him nothing but success in his future with USA Hockey.”
