GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday recalled goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned goaltender Jared Coreau from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye to the Griffins.

Mrazek, 22, owns a 1-2-0 record, a 3.80 goals against average and a 0.854 save percentage in four appearances with Grand Rapids this season. Last season, the 22-year-old ranked second among AHL goaltenders with a 2.10 GAA and a 22-9-1 record through 32 games, earning him a spot on the AHL’s Second All-Star Team.

Detroit’s fifth choice (141st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Mrazek made nine appearances with the Wings last season and turned out a 2-4-0 record, a 1.74 GAA and two shutouts.

In three games with the Walleye this season, the 22-year-old Coreau has produced a 2.63 GAA, alongside a 2-1-0 record and a 0.904 save percentage. During his 2013-14 rookie campaign, the 6-foot-5, 235-pound netminder registered a 4.03 GAA in 20 games with the Walleye and a 4.39 GAA in five games with the Griffins.

The Red Wings will host the New Jersey Devils on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday at 6 p.m.

The Griffins will hit the road this weekend, taking on the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday at 8 p.m. EST and the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST.
