GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday recalled defenseman Brett Lebda from the Grand Rapids Griffins and assigned center Valtteri Filppula to the American Hockey League club.
Lebda has played 25 games for the Griffins this season, contributing 18 points (4-1418) and a plus-13 rating. The second-year defenseman, who has totaled 12 points (3-912) and a plus-9 rating in 45 games with Detroit, will be available to play in the Red Wings regular season finale tonight at Nashville (8 p.m. on FSN).
Filppula has registered one assist in four games with Detroit this season, along with 70 points (20-5070) in 74 games with Grand Rapids.
