TATAR RETURNS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Friday assigned left wing Tomas Tatar to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Tatar, 21, did not play in the Red Wings’ 4-3 loss to Nashville on Thursday after being recalled from the Griffins earlier in the day. The Ilava, Slovakia, native has one goal in nine career contests with the Red Wings. He sits third on the Griffins this season with 21 points (7-14—21) in 26 games.
Tatar rejoins the Griffins as they prepare for back-to-back road games against the North Division-rival Lake Erie Monsters. They will return home next Wednesday to welcome the Abbotsford Heat at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
