TATAR REJOINS GRIFFINS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday assigned left wing Tomas Tatar to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Tatar was recalled by the Red Wings on Thursday but was not in the lineup in the team’s 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Friday. The 21-year-old forward has appeared in nine career NHL games, recording one goal. He has tallied 36 points (13-23—36) in 49 games with the Griffins this season, ranking third on the club.
The Ilava, Slovakia, native is expected to be in the lineup for the Griffins’ first-ever Purple Game at 7 p.m. tonight versus the Peoria Rivermen. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
