TATAR RECALLED BY DETROIT
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday recalled left wing Tomas Tatar from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Tatar, 21, ranks third on the Griffins with 36 points (13-23—36) in 49 games. The Ilava, Slovakia has tallied 125 points (53-72—125) in 177 career contests with Grand Rapids. He has one goal in nine career NHL games, which he scored in his NHL debut on Dec. 31, 2010 versus the New York Islanders.
Tatar will make his Red Wings' season debut tomorrow versus the Nashville Predators at 7:30 p.m. The Griffins will be in action next on Saturday, when they host the Peoria Rivermen in their first-ever Purple Game. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
