ROSTER REDUCED TO 22
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Monday released defenseman Nick Naumenko from his professional tryout and announced that right wing Stephane Goulet has been reassigned by the Edmonton Oilers to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.
Naumenko, 32, appeared in six of Grand Rapids’ first seven games this season, contributing three assists and eight penalty minutes.
Goulet, 20, was scoreless in two games since making his pro debut in the Griffins’ 2-1 win over Houston on Oct. 20. He was originally assigned to Grand Rapids by Edmonton on Sept. 23.
The Griffins’ roster currently consists of 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
Grand Rapids will conclude its season-high eight-game homestand by hosting the Manitoba Moose this Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4. Game time each night is 7 p.m.
