RED WINGS SEND THREE TO GRAND RAPIDS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Monday assigned forward Zach Nastasiuk, defenseman Dan Renouf and goaltender Matej Machovsky to the Grand Rapids Griffins. In addition, the Red Wings released forwards Mike Borkowski, Luke Esposito and Dominik Shine, defensemen Patrick McCarron and Kevin Tansey, and goaltender Pat Nagle from their professional tryouts, returning them to Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids’ training camp is being held at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit this week before the team makes its practice debut at Van Andel Arena next Monday, Oct. 2.
Griffins Training Camp Roster
The Griffins will raise their 2017 Calder Cup championship banner and begin the defense of their title on Friday, Oct. 6 at Van Andel Arena against Manitoba when the puck drops on the 2017-18 season with Opening Night presented by Huntington Bank.
