GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Friday assigned defenseman Kyle Quincey to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Quincey, 21, is tied for first among Griffins defensemen in scoring with four points (1-3—4) in nine games. He participated in Detroit victories each of the last two nights, posting a plus-one rating while averaging 12:16 in ice time.

Quincey is expected to be in the lineup tonight when Grand Rapids hosts the Manitoba Moose at 7.
