GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A limited edition poster commemorating Darren McCarty’s tenure as a Grand Rapids Griffin will be given away to the first 1,500 fans through the turnstiles at the team’s home games this Sunday, March 2 at 4 p.m. versus the Lake Erie Monsters and next Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. against the Toronto Marlies, courtesy of Delta Imports. Doors open one hour before each game.

Highlights of the 22” x 34” poster include a celebration of the first goal from his memorable hat trick during his Van Andel Arena debut on Feb. 15 and his unforgettable bout with Milwaukee’s Alex Henry on Feb. 16.

McCarty, who signed with the Griffins on Feb. 4 before earning a one-year contract with the Red Wings on Monday, continues to play with Grand Rapids on a two-week conditioning loan. After logging his fifth goal last night in Hamilton, he shows eight points (5-3—8) and 19 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Griffins.
