GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Among the list of important off-ice items for the Griffins to complete following their Calder Cup title:
Parade through downtown Grand Rapids and rally at Rosa Parks Circle: √ (June 16)
North American Calder Cup tour: √ (July-August)
Raise the 2017 championship banner to Van Andel Arena's rafters: √ (Oct. 6)
The last remaining item was for players, coaches and hockey operations staff to receive their rings. Following a private, team-only event in downtown Grand Rapids on Monday night, that can now be crossed off the list, too.
- 132 individual stones in each ring
- Size: 37 DWT
- The inscription on the inside reads HFWYG, which stands for "How Far Would You Go?"
- About 150 rings were produced by Grand Rapids-based Terryberry
