PROSPECTS TOURNAMENT WRAPS UP
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - With a 4-3 overtime victory against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, the Detroit Red Wings wrapped up a fifth-place finish at the annual prospects tounament in Traverse City.
Jimmy Howard made 29 saves, as Detroit finished with a 2-1-1 record. Other past or projected Griffins on the Wings squad included goalie Stefan Liv, defensemen Jonathan Ericsson, Jakub Kindl and Kyle Quincey, and forwards Ryan Keller, Evan McGrath and Ryan Oulahen.
Columbus claimed the championship of the eight-team tourney with a 5-1 win over Atlanta.
