PICTURE YOURSELF ON A GRIFFINS POSTER!
HEY KIDS! Through the Grand Rapids Griffins’ Put A Lid On It! program, you can make a pledge to always wear your helmet when riding your bike or scooter and when skating or skateboarding.
Now, show all of West Michigan how great you look in your helmet!
Send us a photo of you having fun while participating in your favorite helmeted sport. The Griffins may include your photo among those on our 2008 PALOI poster, which will be distributed to schools, libraries, bike shops, doctor’s offices and sporting goods stores throughout a seven-county region starting in May.
If we use your photo, we’ll include your first name and hometown on the poster, and you’ll receive a prize package from the Griffins!
Ask your parent/grownup to email your photo to griff@griffinshockey.com, using the subject line “Poster contest,” by Wednesday, April 30. It is recommended that photos be at least 4” x 5” and have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Ask them to include your first and last name, your age, your hometown and their name and phone number in the email.
That’s it! The Griffins will contact your parent/grownup if your photo is selected. Good luck, and thanks again for wearing your helmet!

ABOUT “PUT A LID ON IT!”
The Put A Lid On It! helmet safety program is a public service of the Grand Rapids Griffins and is presented by Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. The PALOI program was founded by the Griffins in 2004 to promote helmet safety to elementary and middle school children throughout our community, with an ultimate goal of reducing the occurrence and severity of head injuries sustained during wheeled sports and other outdoor activities.
In recognition of this effort, the Griffins were honored as the recipient of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan's 2007 Prevention Award.
For more information on the PALOI program, click here or call the Griffins at (616) 774-4585 ext. 3046.
