PEARCE HEADED TO MOTOWN
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Friday recalled goaltender Jordan Pearce from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Pearce returned to Grand Rapids on Sunday after being recalled by Detroit on March 5. He has appeared in 17 games with the Griffins this season, sporting a 3-7-1 record, a 3.53 goals against average, a 0.874 save percentage and one shutout. In 67 career games with Grand Rapids, the 25-year-old Pearce has a 24-25-6 record, a 3.13 GAA, a 0.898 save percentage and two shutouts.
After ending their season-high five-game road trip with consecutive wins, the Griffins will look to extend their winning streak to three and home winning streak to five tonight when they host the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
