PARILLO RETURNS TO GRIFFINS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Tuesday signed forward Nick Parillo to a professional tryout.
Parillo, 27, played for the Griffins in their 2-1 win over Utah on Dec. 4 and was released the following day. He currently ranks second on the ECHLs Toledo Storm in scoring with 17 points (3-1417) in 19 games.
The Schenectady, N.Y., native has played in 18 career AHL games with Grand Rapids, Rochester, Milwaukee, Cincinnati and San Antonio, collecting three points (2-13) and 15 penalty minutes. In two career games with the Griffins, he shows one goal and two PIM.
Parillo is expected to be in the Griffins lineup on Wednesday when they visit the Utah Grizzlies for a 9:05 p.m. start from The E Center.
