NESTRASIL RETURNS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings have reassigned right wing Andrej Nestrasil to the Grand Rapids Griffins from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
Nestrasil, 22, leads Toledo with 41 points (11-30—41) in 40 games, showing at least one point in 17 of his last 21 ECHL games. A native of Prague, Czech Republic, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound forward has recorded five points (3-2—5) in 31 career games with the Griffins. In 122 professional games between Grand Rapids and Toledo, the second-year pro has tallied 75 points (21-54—75) and 54 penalty minutes.
The Griffins will play four of their next five games on home ice, welcoming the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Charlotte Checkers on Sunday at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
