GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins, in conjunction with the U.S. Army and Vaughn Hockey, will host a free high school hockey clinic at Griff’s IceHouse on Tuesday, March 31.

Detroit Red Wings goaltending coach Jim Bedard, along with Griffins head coach Curt Fraser and assistant coach Jim Paek, will lead two separate sessions during the event. Session One runs from 6-7:10 p.m., while Session Two is scheduled for 7:20-8:30 p.m., with dinner provided after each session.

Registration is open to players ages 16-18 by calling Ruth Lobbestael in the Griffins’ office at 616-774-4585 ext. 3047. Each session is limited to the first 24 goaltenders and 30 skaters (15 forwards, 15 defensemen) who sign up.

Grand Rapids netminders Jimmy Howard and Daniel Larsson will be in attendance to assist Bedard in teaching young goalies, while other Griffins players will provide instruction for forwards and defensemen.
