GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation is hosting its annual summer hockey camp today through Sunday at Griff's IceHouse at Belknap Park (30 Coldbrook NE), with more than 130 kids taking part to have fun, improve their hockey skills and beat the heat.
Four groups of children ranging from second to 12th-graders will each skate for one hour both today and Friday, and for 90 minutes on both Saturday and Sunday.
With a recent programming expansion to include kids in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades, this camp will mark the official debut of the foundation's new high school hockey program.
