GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday announced the hiring of Joe Mendicelli as an accounting assistant.

With a variety of experience in finance and banking, Mendicelli joins the Griffins after most recently serving as a staff accountant at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. The Cadillac, Mich., native is a 2010 graduate of Central Michigan University where he earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree, majoring in finance and minoring in accounting. Following graduation, Mendicelli worked as an income analyst and loan processor at Mercantile Bank of Michigan.
