GRIFFINS TO HOST RED WINGS WATCH PARTY
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins have teamed up with Celebration! Cinema to offer fans the chance to view Game 1 of Detroit Red Wings’ first-round playoff series on the big screen on Wednesday, April 11.
The Griffins will host a free, public event for the Red Wings’ opening game of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Nashville Predators at Celebration! Cinema North, located at Knapp Street and the East Beltline. The festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by the 8 p.m. game telecast on one of the theatre’s 45-foot HD screens with Dolby 5.1 Digital Sound. Theatre concession stands and the cash bar will be open until 10 p.m., and Griffins staff will be on hand to give away Griffins and Red Wings prizes during the game.
