GRIFFINS SIGN PODERZAY TO ATO
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday signed goaltender Brennan Poderzay (PAHD-uhr-zay) to an amateur tryout.
Poderzay, 24, recently completed his junior season at Division III College of St. Scholastic in Duluth, Minn., where he went 3-7-0 with a 3.99 GAA in 12 appearances. In 13 games as a sophomore in 2009-10, the Tower, Minn., native compiled a 6-3-1 mark with a 2.37 GAA and two shutouts.
Poderzay will back up Jordan Pearce tonight when the Griffins host the Lake Erie Monsters at 7 p.m.
