GRIFFINS RELEASE LOUIS-MARC AUBRY FROM CONTRACT
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday released forward Louis-Marc Aubry from his contract. He will join Eisbaren Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
Aubry, 25, has skated in 36 games with the Griffins this season and recorded nine points (4-5—9) and 17 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pound forward has registered 86 points (32-54—86) and 271 PIM with the Griffins while appearing in 342 career games – the fourth most in franchise history – since 2011. A 2013 Calder Cup champion with Grand Rapids, Aubry has played in 39 postseason contests and accounted for five points (4-1—5) and 16 PIM.
A native of Arthabaska, Quebec, Aubry was Detroit’s third choice, 81st overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
