GRIFFINS HOME OPENER SET FOR OCT. 15
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday announced that they will open the home portion of their tenth anniversary schedule on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Van Andel Arena.
In addition, the American Hockey League has confirmed two other traditional contests that the Griffins will host in 2005-06, including the fifth annual matinee game on Tuesday, Nov. 15, and the ninth annual New Years Eve bash on Saturday, Dec. 31.
The opponents and start times for these games will be released later this summer, along with the complete schedule for the Griffins tenth season overall and fifth as a member of the AHL.
Group tickets for these three games, along with full season, 20-game, 10-game and five-game ticket packages, are available by calling the Griffins at (616) 774-4585 or (800) 2-HOCKEY. Current ticket specials include the $199 Hot Seat full season package, as well as five-game and 10-game Power Play Plans that are discount priced at $60 and $150, respectively, through July 1.
Single-game tickets will go on sale to the public in September.
