GRIFFINS AND FARM BUREAU INSURANCE TO REVEAL $15,000 MEDIA ROOM MAKEOVER FOR KEN-O-SHA PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WHAT: The Grand Rapids Griffins and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan will unveil their $15,000 media room makeover for Ken-O-Sha Park Elementary School. The event will include remarks from several dignitaries along with a ribbon-cutting and tour of the school's completely renovated media room.
In May, Ken-O-Sha Park Elementary was chosen from 21 elementary and middle schools throughout Kent County as the winner of the second annual Media Room Makeover Contest conducted by the Griffins and Farm Bureau Insurance. Located in a 52-year-old building in southeast Grand Rapids, Ken-O-Sha Park provides an inclusive environment for 165 students enrolled in preschool through fifth grade. The school also houses the Grand Rapids Oral Deaf Program and Physically Impaired Program, and it provides special education services to children from all 20 school districts within Kent County.

WHO: Farm Bureau Insurance vice president of marketing Vic Verchereau, Griffins vice president of community relations and broadcasting Bob Kaser, and Ken-O-Sha Park Elementary principal Stephanie Villalta will speak in the school's gymnasium prior to the ribbon-cutting and be available for interviews afterward. Ken-O-Sha Park students and parents will get their first look at the school’s new media room, while Griff, the team's mascot, and representatives of the project’s contractors will also be in attendance.
