GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Monday assigned defensemen Brian Lashoff and Dylan McIlrath, forwards Matt Lorito and Ben Street, and goaltender Jared Coreau to the Grand Rapids Griffins. All were significant contributors to the Griffins’ 2017 Calder Cup championship.

Grand Rapids’ roster now stands at 24 players as practice continues at Van Andel Arena this week. The Griffins will raise their 2017 Calder Cup championship banner and begin the defense of their title on Friday at Van Andel Arena against Manitoba when the puck drops on the 2017-18 season with Opening Night presented by Huntington Bank.
