Two-Game Preseason Slate to Take Place Across Lake Michigan
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Tuesday announced their 2006-07 preseason schedule.
After opening training camp on Monday, Sept. 25, Grand Rapids will play both of its preseason contests on the road. On Thursday, Sept. 28, the Griffins will visit the Chicago Wolves for an 8 p.m. EDT faceoff at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Theyll head north the following night to take on the Milwaukee Admirals in an 8 p.m. EDT start at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. Tickets for both games will be available at the door on game night ($6 in Chicago, $10 in Milwaukee).
Grand Rapids will commence the 2006-07 regular season on Friday, Oct. 6 at San Antonio, before hosting the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 14. Game time at Van Andel Arena is set for 7 p.m.
Group tickets for all home games, along with full season, 20-game, 10-game and five-game ticket packages, are currently available by calling the Griffins at (616) 774-4585 or (800) 2-HOCKEY. Single-game tickets will go on sale to the public in late September.
