GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Sunday released 11 players from their training camp roster: goaltender Kevin LaPointe; defensemen Steve ORourke and Joe Pomaranski; and forwards Billy Collins, Ryan Gale, Jason Kostadine, Ken Magowan, Colin Shields, Scooter Smith, Josh Tataryn and Mark Wires.

With 29 players remaining in camp, the Griffins are scheduled to practice at 10 a.m. Monday at Griffs IceHouse at Belknap Park.
