EHRHARDT BOUND FOR TOLEDO
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday reassigned defenseman Travis Ehrhardt from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.
Ehrhardt, 20, shows one assist, 13 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating in eight games with the Griffins this season. A native of Calgary, Alberta, he made his professional debut in 2008-09 by skating in three games for the Manitoba Moose after completing his final junior campaign with Portland of the Western Hockey League. Ehrhardt led the Winter Hawks’ defensemen in all scoring categories with 37 points (9-28—37) in 68 games last season.
Ehrhardt will be available to make his ECHL debut Friday when the Walleye host the Florida Everblades at 7 p.m.
