GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday recalled goaltender Jared Coreau from the Grand Rapids Griffins and assigned goaltender Petr Mrazek to their AHL affiliate.

Coreau, 22, made his professional debut with Grand Rapids in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Toronto Marlies on Oct. 5, marking the only contest he has appeared in with the Griffins. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound netminder has played in two games with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye this season, producing a 0-1-1 record, a 3.49 goals against average and a 0.877 save percentage.

Mrazek, 21, made his season debut with Detroit on Saturday in a 5-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place. Mrazek prevented all 14 shots he faced en route to his first career NHL shutout. The 2013 Calder Cup champion has also appeared in five contests with the Griffins this season, yielding a 2-2-1 record, a 3.14 GAA and a 0.891 save percentage.

The Griffins will take on the Rockford IceHogs at Van Andel Arena on Wednesday at 11 a.m. for their 13th annual matinee game, when Mrazek will be available to play.
