Size: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds.
2006-07: 12 goals, 24 assists, 90 penalty minutes in 39 games for St. Michael's of the Ontario Provincial Jr. A League.
Comment: A smooth-skating offensive defenseman who thrives on power plays and who loves to join the rush and make plays. "He's a great skater, a good puck mover and we're happy to get him," assistant general manager Jim Nill said. "His skating ability is very good. He's our type of player." Needs to bulk up and improve his physical play.
C JOAKIM ANDERSSON
Round 3, 88th overall.
Born: Feb. 5, 1989, in Munkedal, Sweden.
Size: 6-2, 198.
2006-07: 20 goals, 26 assists, 60 penalty minutes in 41 games for Frolunda Jr. of the Swedish Junior League.
Comment: "He thinks the game well, works both ways, has good size," Swedish scout Hakan Andersson said. "He needs to fill out a little more, and he needs to work on foot speed, but I don't see it as a problem."
C RANDY CAMERON
Round 5, 148th overall.
Born: Jan. 28, 1989, in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island.
Size: 5-11, 175.
2006-07: 17 goals, 22 assists, 44 penalty minutes in 70 games for Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Comment: "A real solid two-way player, very happy with him," Nill said. "He does everything well, strong on the puck, good skater. We're hoping he can be a Mike Fisher-type player."
C ZACK TORQUATO
Round 6, 178th overall.
Born: June 8, 1989, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Size: 6-0, 195.
2006-07: 19 goals, 18 assists, 56 penalty minutes in 65 games for Erie of the Ontario Hockey League.
Comment: An energetic two-way player with good passing skills. "He's been a highly rated guy," Nill said. "He needs to work on his skating a bit, but he's got real good hockey sense and real good hands."

Round 7, 208th overall.
Born: April 15, 1989, in Cameron, Ontario.
Size: 5-11, 184.
2006-07: 11 goals, 21 assists, 28 penalty minutes in 31 games for Lindsay of the Ontario Provincial Jr. A League.
Comment: "He's got good skills," Nill said. "He's got to get stronger and keep developing."
