BRUNNSTROM TO DETROIT, FOURNIER RECALLED
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday recalled left wing Fabian Brunnstrom from the Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned defenseman Gleason Fournier from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) to the Griffins.
Brunnstrom, 26, has recorded three points (1-2—3) in his three games with Grand Rapids this season. The Jonstorp, Sweden, native rejoins the Red Wings after being assigned to the Griffins on Thursday. He has one assist and two penalty minutes in four games with Detroit this season.
Fournier, 20, returns to Grand Rapids after scoring a goal in his Griffins’ debut on Nov. 18 versus San Antonio. The first-year pro has tallied eight points (1-7—8) in 14 games with the Walleye.
Fournier is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday when the Griffins finish a season-high five-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Barons at 5 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
