BRUNNSTROM REJOINS GRIFFINS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday assigned left wing Fabian Brunnstrom to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Brunnstrom has appeared in four games with the Red Wings this season, recording an assist and two penalty minutes. The Jonstorp, Sweden, native was previously assigned to Grand Rapids on Oct. 31, scoring a goal in his only game as a Griffin on Nov. 2 before being recalled by Detroit on Nov. 5.
The 26-year-old winger has totaled 41 points (17-24—41) in 82 career AHL games and 41 points (19-22—41) in 103 career NHL contests. He became the 119th Griffins alumnus to appear in an NHL game in the Red Wings’ 5-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 5.
Brunnstrom is expected to be in the lineup Wednesday when the Griffins host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
