BRUNNSTROM BACK TO DETROIT
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday recalled left wing Fabian Brunnstrom from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Brunnstrom, 26, scored just 4:09 into his Griffins debut on Wednesday in the team’s 3-0 win over the Lake Erie Monsters. The Jonstorp, Sweden, native has also appeared in one contest with the Red Wings this season after earning a contract as a tryout during the team’s training camp. He is expected to play tonight when the Red Wings host the Anaheim Ducks at 7 p.m.
The Griffins continue a three-game homestand tonight with their first-ever matchup against the Charlotte Checkers at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
