AHL SUSPENDS VANDERMEER
Springfield, Mass. - The American Hockey League announced today that Grand Rapids Griffins left wing Peter Vandermeer has been suspended for two (2) regular season games as a result of his actions in an Oct. 26, 2004, AHL game versus Rochester.
Vandermeer will miss Grand Rapids next two games: Fri., Oct. 29 versus Chicago and Sat., Oct. 30 versus San Antonio.
The AHL also announced that Bridgeport Sound Tigers right wing Jim Campbell has been suspended for one (1) regular season game as a result of receiving a match penalty in an October 24 AHL game versus Binghamton.
Campbell will miss Bridgeports game tonight in Philadelphia.
