A Grand Rapids Tradition

Dec 15, 2006
New York City has its ball, ABC has Dick Clark and Pasadena has the Rose Bowl. As far as enduring New Year's traditions in Grand Rapids are concerned, though, nothing can match the Griffins' 10th annual New Year's Eve Extravaganza, which will kick off the second half of our Rockin' the Rink Entertainment Series.

Sunday, Dec. 31 will mark the 10th time since 1996 that the Griffins and their fans celebrate the end of a calendar year at Van Andel Arena. It’s a great West Michigan tradition, and a fantastic atmosphere for families and friends to welcome the arrival of Baby New Year, complete with the best entertainment in town. The game against Rochester starts at 7 p.m.
