2025-26 Player in Review: Sheldon Dries
Forward Sheldon Dries competed in his second season with the Griffins and showed 45 points (23-22—45), 13 penalty minutes and a career-high plus-20 rating in 57 regular-season games. He then ranked second on the roster with seven points (2-5—7) in eight playoff outings. During the regular season, Dries ranked among the team leaders in points (2nd), assists (4th) and goals (3rd), while collecting his third-straight 20-goal campaign. He was selected as the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 21 when he logged six points (2-4—6) and a plus-eight rating in three games.
The Macomb, Michigan, native, made his Detroit Red Wings debut on March 12 at Tampa Bay and finished the NHL season with five appearances.
