2025-26 Player in Review: Michael Milne

Forward Michael Milne skated in his first season with the Griffins after he was acquired on March 12 by the Detroit Red Wings along with forward Wojciech Stachowiak in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for defenseman Ian Mitchell. Milne competed for three AHL teams this season and totaled four penalty minutes and a minus-one rating in five games with the Griffins. He also notched one assist, 18 penalty minutes and a minus-two rating in 19 games with the Syracuse Crunch and five points (2-3—5), 14 penalty minutes and a minus-11 rating in 15 contests with the Iowa Wild. 

The 23-year-old also appeared in five regular-season games with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, showing two assists, two penalty minutes and a minus-one rating. He made his ECHL debut on April 1 at the Indy Fuel. Milne then tied for second on Toledo’s roster during the Kelly Cup Playoffs with nine points (4-5—9) in 12 outings.
