Forward Jesse Kiiskinen joined the Griffins near the end of the season and made his AHL debut on April 11 against the Rockford IceHogs, collecting an assist in the process. The 20-year-old then scored his first AHL goal on April 19 at the Cleveland Monsters and finished the campaign with two points (1-1—2), two penalty minutes and a plus-one rating in three appearances. 

Prior to joining Grand Rapids, Kiiskinen competed with HPK in the Liiga, Finland’s top professional league. With HPK, he totaled 28 points (17-11—28) and 13 penalty minutes in 54 regular-season games, adding four points (1-3—4) in nine playoff outings.
