Forward Eddie Genborg joined the Griffins near the end of the season and made his AHL debut on March 20 at the Rockford IceHogs. The 19-year-old collected his first AHL point with an assist on March 28 against the Chicago Wolves and scored his first AHL goal on April 4 at the Manitoba Moose. Genborg finished the AHL regular season with three points (1-2—3), eight penalty minutes and a plus-two rating in 11 appearances. He then suffered a season-ending injury during his Calder Cup Playoff debut on May 2 in Game 1 of the Central Division Semifinals against Manitoba. 

Prior to joining Grand Rapids, Genborg competed in his first full season as a professional in the Swedish Hockey League with Timra IK, totaling 25 points (9-16—25), 24 penalty minutes and a plus-eight rating in 43 games. He ranked third in points among U20 players in SHL as an 18 year old. 

Finally, Genborg won a gold medal with Team Sweden at 2026 World Junior Championship, tying for fourth on the roster with eight points (3-5—8) in seven outings.
