Defenseman Wyatt Newpower skated in his third season with the Griffins and totaled seven points (1-6—7), fifty-eight penalty minutes and a plus-six rating in 34 regular-season games. He added two penalty minutes and an even plus-minus rating in three postseason outings, making his pro playoff debut on May 22 against the Milwaukee Admirals. Newpower was recalled to the NHL for the first time in his career on Jan. 27 by the Detroit Red Wings and was reassigned the following day not having played a game.
