2023-24 Player in Review: Emmitt Finnie
Center Emmitt Finnie joined the Griffins on an amateur tryout on March 26 and appeared in three games, making his pro debut on March 30 at the Milwaukee Admirals. He also signed his first pro contract with the Detroit Red Wings on March 26, a three-year, entry-level deal.
The 19-year-old spent much of the season with the Western Hockey League’s Kamloops Blazers, serving as an alternate captain. With the Blazers, Finnie posted career-high numbers in goals (19), assists (40), points (59) and penalty minutes (28) in 62 appearances.
