Right wing Carter Mazur skated in his first full season with the Griffins and led the team’s rookies in points (37) and goals (17), to go along with 20 assists in 60 regular-season games. Mazur also tied for the team lead with six power-play goals and tied for fourth with three game-winners. His 17 goals tied for 14th among AHL rookies, six power-play goals tied for 12th among first-year players, and three game-winners tied for 13th among rookies.
The 22-year-old made his Calder Cup Playoffs debut on April 27 at the Rockford IceHogs, collecting an assist in the process. He posted a team-best six-game point streak during the playoffs from April 27-May 20 (3-3—6). In his first pro postseason, Mazur tied for second on the roster in points (3-5—8), ranked fourth in goals (3) and tied for first in assists (5) throughout nine postseason outings.
